More ICT/TLE Knowledge

Image
The third quarter of I.C.T wasn't abnormally hard, but it wasn't easy either, it was somewhere in between. The third quarter wasn't that much different from the second quarter, since we were still learning under HTML files and commands. The only thing that didn't make it simple, was the fact that we had to make an HTML file that contained a web design, which was difficult, but since we've covered the basics, it wasn't that much of a torture. Overall, the third quarter was really docile, but we had to multitask sometimes cause we still had to post blogs, but nothing out of the ordinary. Links: Image

The Essence Of Christmas

Image
Christmas, it is that long awaited day of every year. Gifts that fill the Christmas tree, spending time with family, it's truly a wonderful thing. It's the season to be jolly, as they say, but it seems that people celebrate it for the wrong reasons sometimes. Children gather around and wait for santa clause to come and pay them a visit, but they are negligent in to the more precious guest that make christmas possible. It's the lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Christmas is the day Jesus was born into the world to save humanity from themselves. Sinful men were given hope and were forgiven for their sins all through the lord's sacrifice.  Christmas means a spirit of love, a time when the love of God and the love of our fellow men should prevail over all hatred and bitterness, a time when our thoughts and deeds and the spirit of our lives manifest the presence of God. As cliche as any of these sound, it's truthful and it's rather a shame to see child...

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Image
To this day, it is still debatable whether or not there is equality in society. For decades, many have been discriminated and are not given proper respect by most people. People usually have disadvantages depending on their gender, race or beliefs. The world needs to change, and it is, bit by bit and day by day, but it needs to hasten it's advances, or it may lead to more discrimination and discontinuation of said change. Signs have shown that discrimination still runs in the community that leads to unequal opportunities and rights of human beings. More than 90 million children worldwide are currently living with a moderate or severe disability. More than any other group, these children are more likely to enroll late, drop out, or altogether miss out on school. For those in school, the poor quality and exclusive nature of the learning environment often exaggerate their situation, especially in low- and middle-income countries. The world hasn't been paying much attention t...

Isulong: Tamang Pag-aaruga Para sa Lahat ng Bata

Image

Reading: A key to a Beautiful Future

Image
Reading is a form of acquiring knowledge, it helps people understand what they cannot and can improve they're vocabulary. Reading gives a lot of benefits and provide no disadvantage to the reader. One can acquire different skills and knowledge from different books or any type of literature, although that would be the case, many people aren't fond of reading or find reading boring. Those people who find reading boring are justifiable, they may be unable to enjoy cracking open a book and reading for hours by a window or within a quiet space cause they might not be accustomed to it or they may have Aphantasia ( Aphantasia  is the suggested name for a condition where one does not possess a functioning mind's eye and cannot voluntarily visualize imagery) that prevents them from enjoying reading books cause they can't visualize what they have read. Although that may be true, reading isn't just limited to novels or those sophisticated books that most bookworms are imme...

Second Quarter Reflection

Image
The second quarter of class was very educational, we've discussed the different internet access, further read on URLs and learned how to make HTML files. The second quarter was very interesting and it further increased my knowledge of technology and their benefits to society. It was fun learning different commands in making an HTML file, and I found it one of my favorite tasks. Although I can't deny the fact that it can be stressful to make outputs in HTML when it's rushed or when there's no time to do it. The second quarter came to me similar to but different from the first quarter, not like the first quarter, the second quarter was less stressful and more fun to work on. I was enjoying learning on the topics and was increasing my knowledge on the internet at the same time. The only thing that I think made it stressful, was the fact that we had to rush a lot of the outputs because of limited time to do it. The second quarter overall, was fun and made me more int...

A Teacher

Image
We are all well aware that teachers have a lot of work they have to do, and that they do them very responsibly. Teachers are cruel, strict, over exerting and forceful, these are commonly used to describe the common teacher. Students tend to gossip or ignore teachers they're not fond of or dislike personally. I personally think that's stupid, teachers may come off as strict or overexerting, but that's only because they work hard for our sake. We as students tend to ignore their sacrifices, their kindness and how caring they are when we get a really bad first impression. Although teachers already know this, that some or most students potentially hate them, they don't  go off and make a fuss over these, and I really respect them for that, they not only help us learn and force us to understand the material so that we can learn, they do it even if it affects their reputation. They don't overly try to improve their reputation to the students, cause they're more conce...

"Human Rights"

The commemoration of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty took place on 17 October 2018 at UN Headquarters in New York under the theme: “Coming together with those furthest behind to build an inclusive world of universal respect for human rights and dignity." This year marks the 70th anniversary of the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It is important to recall the fundamental connection between extreme poverty and human rights, and that people living in poverty are disproportionately affected by many human rights violations. Joseph Wresinski was one of the first persons to highlight this direct link between human rights and extreme poverty. In February 1987, he appealed to the Human Rights Commission to examine the question of extreme poverty and human rights and eloquently captured the nexus between human rights and extreme poverty with h...

Filipinoes and Their Resiliency During Disasters

Image
Disasters are caused by both natural and Human-Induced Hazards, but are more often made by natural Hazards due to the unfortunate location of the Philippines that causes it to experience the such. We face these disasters often, yet we remain to be tough and never give up and rise to the dangers that have dragged us down to the ground.               The Philippines is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire and in the south-western part of the Pacific Ocean, no doubt that these are the main causes of the natural hazards that lead to Disasters that end up causing a lot of problems in the country. During these types of Disasters, we need to remain resilient and vigilante, we should remain tough at times where we want to give up, losing your home does not signify losing your life, everyone can start from scratch again when these things happen and sometimes we need to prevent casualties to arise within...

Everything so far

Image
So to begin, everything so far has been interesting and stressful, interesting in a sense that we get to learn a variety of things concerning computers and technology, some examples are the the Internet, blogging and search engines. Our teacher taught us the history of Internet, different internet components, internet tools, internet services, web server and browsers, types of data on the internet and the people behind internet. As we go further, we learn about blogging, the different portfolios of matrics and advantages of blogs to us as students. We also learned about the ways of interacting with search engines using search techniques like "Boolean Logic"and others.              The first quarter has been stressful, posting blogs constantly, making drafts, quizzes after reports. Although this may come off as natural to other students, I feel most of us feel the same way that it was a stressf...

BUWAN NG WIKA 2018(Filipino: Wika ng Saliksik)

Image

President Duterte: S.O.N.A. 2018

Image
On July 23, 2018, President Duterte made his third SONA, which was his shortest SONA with a span of 48 minutes which was beyond his promise 35 minutes due to a couple of remarks he did during his speech. Compared to his previous SONA where he  went off-script with a long-winded tirade against critics in a speech that lasted two hours, Duterte in 2018 stuck mostly to his prepared speech without the usual expletives.               He talked about the main topics he'd prepared for his speech, he mainly talked about the unrelenting drug war, stating that it was far from over.  Duterte rants against illegal drugs and how it ruins lives but does not cite specific numbers on how his administration's anti-drug war addressed this problem. He had promised to end this problem within 6 months. This is very concerning, seeing as how the possibility of more peop...

Nutrition

Nutrition, it is a common word we hear and use concerning food intake and exercise, but what is nutrition? The common definition of nutrition is that   Nutrition is the study of nutrients in food, how the body uses nutrients, and the relationship between diet, health, and disease. Major food manufacturers employ nutritionists and food scientists. Nutritionists may also work in journalism, education, and research. Many nutritionists work in the field of food science and technology. There are a lot of overlap between what nutritionists and dietitians do and study. Some nutritionists work in a healthcare setting, some dietitians work in the food industry, but a higher percentage of nutritionists work in the food industry and in food science and technology, and a higher percentage of dietitians work in healthcare, corporate wellness, research, and education. Nutrition also focuses on how to cure or prevent diseases, in short, nutrition helps in aiding our body, yet we disregard...

Letter to the President

First Name: Fernando Miguel Last Name:Rabino Email Address: Fernandomigrabino3@gmail.com Subject:Poverty Message: Dear Mr. President, I am a 10th grade student, studying at Ilocos Sur National High School in Vigan City. i live currently in Poblacion Sta. Catalina Ilocos Sur. This letter is about the poverty people are facing in the country. I am not writing to you in regards on my own financial status, rather I'd like to talk about the people forced to sleep in the streets and are broke. i know this shouldn't be constantly blamed on the government cause you did not have part in the suffering of these people, this is more of the effect of irresponsible parenting, but i can't help but write about this topic to to you. Soon after you became President, you worked hard to eradicate a problem going on for years now, however, why didn't you focus on helping the people in the streets just as much as you killed humans for drug usage? You should be aware that drug p...

Why we celebrate Independence Day

Image
Independence day, more commonly known as the day of freedom in the Philippines. As the name suggests, we celebrate it, for the sole reason of claiming freedom after a long period of time, but is that really the case?                  Independence day may be the day we celebrate freedom, but more importantly , we celebrate all the National Heroes who "fought" for this freedom. All their efforts, pain and their bravery, though this single day we remember their heroic deeds and offer our utmost respect for them. That is why, on this day we should be excited, not cause of a no school/no work day, but a day where people who couldn't go to school fought, for us to experience what we have today.                  Independence day is our soul tribute to the fallen Heroes of the P...
