An annual Tradition of Morale and Celebration

Image
The 117th celebration of the annual High School Day of the Ilocos Sur National High School was held on the date March 2, 2019. The celebration this year took longer than expected, but nonetheless it still had the High School Day spirit that it always had. This celebration is held every year, it starts off with a parade with all the classes of the school that circle back to the campus. During the parade, the students are expected to be in their best behavior as to not embarrass their adviser and their classroom as well as the school. During the parade, every grade level is expected to wear an attire that is intended to be their "dance attire" that they wear during a showcasing of dance performances that is also part of the celebration. The High School Day Celebration held this year was nothing out of the ordinary, not including the longer time it took to finish. The dance performances weren't held immediately after the parade this year, instead they gave different aw

10th Graders' ICT

Image
During the School Year 2018-2019, we've studied ICT for Grade 10. The study sessions were always consistent but only in the first quarter. Throughout the second to fourth quarters, the schedule for learning has been gradually decreasing and passing of requirements have been hectic. Classes were still interesting and it still had a good learning process, but that was only up till the third quarter. The teacher isn't to blame for it, but learning the lessons in the 4th quarter has been hard because of very little time remaining and having an even more hectic schedule than usual. Learning in the subject is still pretty consistent, but not entirely. Although time has been the worst enemy, the lessons were still fun and interesting. We've studied how computer hardware and software work, dismantled and assembled a system unit, learned how to make blogs and posting them for an audience, made our own web design through HTML tags and editing/making images through the

Dreams of Reality

Image
Over the course of time that I've lived, I know that everyone has had, achieved or failed a dream or ambition of their own at least once. Be it being a doctor or a lawyer, no one is exempted or banned from having a dream. Dreaming is freedom for every person, the sky's the limit as they say. Dreaming is one thing though, planning and achieving is another. Without passion, focus and determination, these dreams will remain dreams. In my lifetime, I want to achieve a lot of things. I've had a lot of obscure dreams back in my child days. Now I'm being more practical with my dreams/ambitions. I want to be a triumphant person, I want to help my loving parents, and I want to serve my fellow people. I aspire to be a lawyer myself, and I want to pursue this to the end. People often say "Only time will tell" or "Good things come to those who wait" but if you lack the resolve, determination, passion and proper planning, then you don

Change starts with me

Image
Change starts with me, this is one common quote and phrase heard anywhere, and even if it's taken out of context, people still understand the meaning, why is that? It's because people naturally have a mindset to change for the better, people know that change is a way that people can solve their problems, but if there's no effort exerted into said change, then it still won't be of use to anyone. Change starts with every individual. They have the the ability to improve, to grow, to change. Although as that would be the case, a lot of people still don't contribute to this change, they enjoy doing nothing rather than hard work. Laziness, one of the main causes of the depletion and halt of improvement in our country, we must unite to work on this "change" together, no single individual can attain such a feat, we know that, yet we refuse to cooperate with others sometimes. We need to stop being uncooperative and start being unified with our co

New Year, New Me

Image
Last year has been a year to remember, as any other year would be, but as the years move forward, people need to or inevitably change. It is a fact that everything changes, the only permanent process in the world is change. Life will always cease to exist, but in turn a new life is born. Change is truly quite vexing, and is sometimes frightening for most people. People tend to get afraid of change, possibly because they've been enjoying their lives so far and want it to continue being consistent. However, there are also people who are waiting for change, possibly cause they've faced misfortune continuously in their lives so far. So this brings the question, "Is change good or bad?" To put it bluntly, change is subjective, people change for the worse and some change for the better, the only defining trait of a person is how he interprets him/herself. Change is inevitable, but change is not bad if people change for the better, change not just supe
